handicapped: 〘やや古〙 で現在では不適切な語とされる
impaired: 視覚障害や聴覚障害はそれぞれblind, deafよりもvisually impaired, hearing impairedの方が好まれる
challenged: 同様にchallengedも複合語で用いられる
ただしvertically challenged(背が低い)のようにしばしば〘おどけて〙 用いられる表現もある
