明確に詳細化されてはいないものの、「クロージャ（Closure）」とは、一見すると別々に見える複数のコマ（panel）を、読者が頭の中でつなぎ合わせ、連続した動きや時間の流れとして知覚するための心的プロセスを指す。
クロージャは、コマとコマの「あいだ」で何が起きているのかを説明する概念である。
その空白（ギャップ）について、読者はそれぞれ自分なりの解釈を補完し、その解釈は読者ごとに異なりうる。
またクロージャは、コマの配置や構成によって、作品の結末が何を意味しているのかを読者自身に解釈させるためにも用いられる。
つまり漫画において意味や時間、出来事の連続性は、作者だけでなく、読者の想像力によって完成されるのである。
While not explicitly detailed, Closure is the mental process that allows the reader to observe two seemingly separate panels and visually connect the action to perceive continuous motion or time flow. Closure explains what happens in between the panels. The audience comes up with their own interpretation of the gap between panels, and this interpretation can be different for each audience member. It can also be used for the reader to interpret what the ending of the comic means by the use of the panels.
