I’ve been getting the question a lot, “what made you want to animate your own music video?” It takes so much time, and so much effort, with very little return comparatively. But the answer isn’t very simple, I don’t think.

There are a lot of reasons, but one of the main ones is that I think I just wanted to do something that “only I can do.” That doesn’t mean there aren’t other people in Holo or even in the creator sphere who can’t create their own music videos, but I do it in a very specific way that is very unique to me.

In this world full of ideas and unique and interesting people, I guess I just wanted to share one of the things I have full certainty is something special to me and my abilities. And making music is fun, and my main goal, but drawing and telling a story will always have a very strong place in my heart. It takes me back to what made me even want to be a creator in the first place. And being able to combine the two arts I love so much into something on its own that is even more of “my own vision” than it would be otherwise (say, if I hired someone else to draw it) is something that really makes me feel like becoming a creator had a purpose after all.

So even as the world changes, I still hold onto this part of me that I’m confident is my own. And man it felt so good to tell a story again, in my own way, with my own thoughts and my own vision. I’m really grateful I got the chance to try it again.
