In addition, two 6mm ID 30 mm long 0,5 mm thickness brass tubes are needed to act as
bearings between x carriage and the steel shafts.

- アーム型のほうが場所をとる
- アーム型はY軸のシャフトも必要
- アーム型は任意の平面に描画できる
- 紙送り型は理論上無限の長さのY軸に対応できる
- 材料費は良い勝負

この人の記事が良い。もともと紙送り型を作っていたが、紙送り部分がうまくいかないことが多くアーム型に戻ってきている。
そして3つ目の設計が良い。
VSlotと呼ばれるアルミフレームの溝を使った直動機構が、リーズナブルだし静かに動きそうでよい。
