Natural Gas
Natural Gas has been portrayed by Oil Companies as an important "bridge fuel" to help shift the world away from coal, the dirtiest-burning energy source. Natural gas, when burned, typically emits only half the planet-warming greenhouse gases that coal does.
Drilling for the gas also causes sizable leaks of Methane directly into the atmosphere, which is even more dangerous than intentional Flaring.
