zk-SNARKs are used to construct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs and are applied as a solution to the privacy of transactions on the blockchain and the scaling problem of Ethereum. In addition to the three properties of zero-knowledge proofs, four properties of SNARK are added.

zk-SNARKs have the advantage of reducing the cost of the verification process, not only for zero-knowledge proofs, but also for the reduction of costs by combining multiple transactions into one in Zk-Rollup, which can be verified without verifying all the transactions included in it.
