Result Oracle started with Optimism and a way to evaluate projects retroactively
It seems like it was initially done according to the RetroPGF expert manual
Vitalik reviewed it: Review of Optimism retro funding round 1
(When you write "Result Oracle, it feels like you're giving results to God lol) Previous companies, interviews and appearances related to oneself.icon
In a more classical sense, there was something called Futarchy, which combines funding allocation for projects with staking, futarchy, and prediction markets
This requires something like an oracle as a so-called "government statistic". shogochiai.icon said that it could be used here too
"I understand it as a means of maximizing the liquidity of probabilistic rewards. And it's the "Results Oracle" that has taken on the KPI setting and evaluation in the mechanism of "distributing taxes to those who have achieved KPI for a certain policy and sharing the spoils with those who have invested in the winning horse." pic.twitter.com/rYhkOsp1PK

Recently, the concept of ImpactDAO has been gaining attention in the Public Goods community
The idea is to evaluate and certify DAOs (≒ projects) that have achieved some results from among a mix of good and bad ones
The name has changed, or rather it's just new, but the concept hasn't changed much
Hyperstructures to incentivize research
🧐 What does DeSci look like onchain?
🤔 My naive guess is that it's mostly multisigs with causes?
🔬 Are there any good examples of something closer to "hyperstructures to incentivize research" or something?

This is called hyperstructures to incentivize research
It's the same as what Meta Public Goods calls "ImpactDAOs"
one day, the meta will be ImpactDAOs

Permissioned rides on top of permissionless. The reverse is not true. is mentioned in the replies
Permissioned rides on top of permissionless. The reverse is not true.
The others are Degitak Gaia and Impact Oracle, right?
In other words, [*In the context of government systems, PFI is like RetroPGF, and government statistics are like Result Oracle.]
Before receiving Grants through PFI, Futarchy can support the challenge
