Descriptions
You will learn what TOEIC/TOEFL tests are, how to prepare for them, and how to study in order to improve your reading and listening skills.
Objectives
You will learn and practice the basic skills of reading and listening necessary for taking TOEIC/TOEFL tests.
Outcomes
You will improve your understanding of reading and listening skills necessary for TOEIC/TOEFL tests, which means how to read and listen logically.
This class is devised to help provide the following:To broaden an outlook on Nature/Human Beings/ SocietyTo think logically and criticallyTo communicate ideasTo develop a sense of Internationalization (cross-cultural communication/knowledge of foreign languages/knowledge of other peoples/knowledge of International Affairs)To CV studentsThe Department of Civil Engineering designates this class under learning/education as “Type (E) Nature/Social Studies: Enhancing the ability to carry out Civil Engineering via a thorough grounding and a greater understanding of Nature/Humanities/Social Science”.

Course notes prerequisites
Students must earn a score of 60% or more and be in attendance for 2/3 of classes in order to pass.
この授業の履修を希望する者は必ず初回授業に出席すること。
このクラスの履修者数の上限は40名であり、初回授業出席者が40名を超えた場合は、初回授業において選抜(抽選)を行う。
初回授業において選抜が実施された場合、その後の履修者の受け入れは行わない。
なお、状況に応じて3年生以上の履修登録が優先される場合がある(ただし初回授業への出席は必須)。
Students wanting to take this class must attend from the first lesson.
The maximum number of students for this class is 40.
If the number of students hoping to register in the first lesson exceeds 40, students will be chosen (by lottery).
If the holding of a lottery in the first lesson becomes necessary, class registration will not be automatic.
Depending on the situation, 3rd and 4th year students wanting to register for the class will be given priority (but only those who attend the first class).
Preparation and review
Homework requirements will be explained in the first week.
Evaluation
授業時に(ならびに授業とは別に期限を定めて)課される課題による評価 80平常点 10到達度を測るための英文作成の課題 10最終評点60%以上を合格とする。
