Mahila Mobile Helpline 181 is a very useful program to ensure Women's safety in Delhi. Initiated by the Delhi Government and run by the Delhi Commission for Women, the execution of this program is helped by many NGOs working for women. To support this good cause, NGOs take care of this program in respective areas to reach as many women in distress.
Women Safety Helpline Number provides 24X7 emergency and non-emergency response to women needing help through dialling 181 on their phone or mobile by linking them with appropriate authorities such as Police, One Stop Centres, Hospitals, Legal Services Authorities etc. This helpline number also provides information about existing welfare schemes and services for girl children, women, and child survivors. All these calls are free and remain confidential without disclosing the identity of the caller.
After receiving a call, Mahila Helpline Vans- running in different areas give immediate response to the victim.
