We build bridges between builders, researchers & funders transforming funding models & mechanisms for public goods. コモンは、私有財（Private Goods）や公共財（Public Goods）と対置される共有財（Common Goods）という概念で、伝統的には「コモンズ」（Commons）と呼ばれてきました。公共財と似ていますが、公共財が道路や公園など広く一般に開かれているのに対し、共有財は集落や会員組織などメンバーシップが限定的です。かつて日本の村落で見られた入会林と呼ばれる集落の共有林のほか、漁業権が設定された河川や沿岸海域などは、コモンズの代表的な例です。
