Metafiction

Is a literary style where a story self-consciously draws attention to its own nature as a fictional work, reminding the audience it's a constructed artifact, blurring fiction and reality through techniques like narrators knowing they're in a book, characters breaking the fourth wall, or stories about writing a story.

物語がフィクションとしての自身の性質を意識的に強調し、読者にそれが構築された人工物であることを想起させる文学様式であり、語り手が自分が本の中にいることを自覚している、登場人物が第四の壁を破る、物語を書くことについての物語といった手法を通じて、虚構と現実の境界を曖昧にする。
