The news of the Olympics and the heavy snow is constantly coming through the TV.

The snow is the heaviest in recorded history and Sapporo is completely white. The JR trains are out of service, and the roads and railroad tracks are all white.

テレビからオリンピックと大雪のニュースがかわりばんこに流れてきます。

観測史上一番の大雪で札幌は真っ白。JRは運休。道路も線路も真っ白です。

The snow piled up next to the sidewalks was so high that I had to look up.

I feel as if I've become a small person.

Winter. The way to and from school when I was in elementary school.

It reminds me of the path I used to take while playing and taking side trips.

歩道の横に積み上がった雪は見上げるほどに高く高く。

まるで自分が小さくなってしまったような不思議な気分です。

冬。小学生の頃の学校の行き帰り道。

遊びながら寄り道しながら通ったあの頃のあの道を思い出してしまいます。
