Kansai Studies New Research Progress Exhibition
Since 2020 Kyoto Experiment has been running the program Kansai Studies, in which artists
take the lead in researching the Kansai region, where the festival is rooted. In 2023, five
people from completely different fields were invited, through an open call, to each choose a
subject related to the Kansai region based on their interests, and research it using their own
methods. This program is usually carried out online, but we have also decided to hold this
exhibition in a physical space to share some of the research process. We invite you to
experience the thoughts and discoveries of these unique researchers.
