30cm SHAPES

「頭の中に30cmを思い浮かべて見てください。」という問いから、制作した本作は、想像のできない形の生成方法をデザインする。作者の手癖から離れた造形を生み出すために、予め定めた手順を繰り返すことで400以上のドローイングを描き、想像のできない30cmの姿を模索した。描かれたドローイングが、全て30cmであるという奇妙な繋がりを実感でき、展示空間におけるスケールが意識される。

Picture 30 cm in your head and look at it." This work, created from the question, "What is the shape of a 30cm image in your head? In order to create a form that is far from the artist's habitual way of thinking, more than 400 drawings were made by repeating a predetermined procedure, in search of an unimaginable 30cm form. The viewer can feel the strange connection between the drawings, all of which are 30 cm in length, and become aware of the scale in the exhibition space.
