Virtual Koganei Campus, Hosei University

We reproduced our campus in Koganei city on cluster, a virtual SNS, as a virtual campus. We had done this project as one of programs in an open campus that took place online in 2020. Our team consists of some of our laboratory members.
This project won the Grand prix in Digital-Contents Contest from Hosei University in 2020!!

We achieved this project as a team, and we had divided tasks or jobs into some roles in order for a each member to deal with them by oneself skills. We needed to check and modify sizes, materials, or other elements of 3D model over and over by some people with following an above flow chart, because each member has different experiences or skills on modeling. I played a role as one of modelers mainly and did material settings and object arrangements.
We had some difficulties/problems while this projects, but dealt with them. We had few references to reproduce our campus at first due to COVID-19. Then we made models following not just them but also our lovely memories:) We fitted sizes, scales, and balances of them carefully for reproduction. Additionally, we cared about weight reduction, because cluster is a multi-platform: users can acces it from even a mobile phone.

I made lots of objects in the campus. In the process, I did them with lowpoly as well as possible due to the multi-platform. Additionally, I made and put a 3D model of a mascot character of our university. (I didn't put screenshots of the character here.)

For a drain, a fence, or other tiny objects, I baked my own texture images for reduction the number of polygons. I rendered 3D models in other scenes to make the texture images.
