Overview
This fountain pen is a limited edition from Pelikan in 2018. The design is based on a vintage model produced from 1955 to 1965. I use it for daily writing because of the design, light weighted and not large sized but with enough large ink-reservoir capacity. The pen has gold-plated steel nib, but it’s really springy like a flex nib (see the writing sample). Thinness and pointed shape of the nib may make it springy.
I think the nib quality varys a bit from pen to pen. When I made writing tests for five pens (two pens with extra-fine and three with fine nibs) stocked at a retail, Maruzen Nihon-bashi, I found certain magnitude of variations in their flexibilities, degrees of feedback, and widths of the line. An extra fine nib made wider line than a fine nib, for instance. I recommend you to try writing tests if you are planning to purchese the pen at retails.
I think, however, average quality of the nibs seems to be good, and they are smooth and wet.
