How to use Zoom
Zoom is a video conferencing app that can be used with LoiLoNote School when conducting online classes.

To conduct an online course smoothly, you can use the video conferencing app Zoom.
Usage is free of charge for the first 40 minutes.

Teachers
Sign up for Zoom
Select "Host A Meeting"
Select one of the following: "With Video Off" / "With Video On" / "Screen Share Only"
The meeting will be created.
Share the 9-digit Meeting ID and 6-digit Password with your students. (This only authorizes the students to join the meeting.)
You can check the Meeting ID and Password from "Information" on the top left corner of the Zoom website.
You can also do so from the "i" icon at the top left corner or the Zoom app.
Students
Enter Zoom https://zoom.us/
Select "Join A Meeting".
Enter the 9-digit ID and 6-digit Password.
We recommend joining the meeting with your real name.
Settings according to course styles.
Audio Only(e.g. Lectures)
Please prepare a tablet (iPad) or smartphones (iPhone/Android)
Select "With Video Off" when creating a Zoom meeting.
Only display faces of students (for example to make sure that the students are participating)
Please use a computer for Zoom and an iPad/iPhone for LoiLoNote School.
Select "With Video Off" when creating a Zoom meeting.
Make sure students turn their video on when the meeting starts.
Display both teacher's and students' faces. (Recommneded for interactive courses)

Select "With Video On" when creating a Zoom meeting.
Make sure students turn their video on when the meeting starts.
Some other tips:
Mute all students while using Zoom.
Select Manage Participants at the bottom of the screen.
Select "Mute All" at the bottom right of the screen.
A confirmation screen will pop-up.
If you want to allow the students to unmute themselves, make sure the checkbox is checked.
Select "Continue"
You can unmute the students by selecting "Unmute All" at the bottom right of the screen, next to the "Mute All" button.
Mute / Unmute a specific student
Select Manage Participants.
Hover over the specific student's account and select Mute / Unmute.
Conducting group activities
Setting Up
Go to the Zoom website on your web browser. (Make sure you are logged in.)
Select "Personal Homepage" on the zoom management page.
Settings → Meeting (Details)" →Turn on "Breakout Room".
During the meeting
Select "Breakout Session" at the bottom right of the menu.
Select the number of groups you want to create. You can assign students to each group according to the availability.
Automatic: Evenly distributes students to each room randomly.
Manual: The teacher manually assigns students to a group.
Select "Create Session".
Select "Start all sessions".
You can end it by selecting【Stop All Sessions】.
