Step1 Where does the food go?
Using an image map, each group will come up with an image of what they ate and share it with each other using Shared Note.
Step2 Get to know your digestive tract
Gather information on the Internet.
The students will research various aspects of the "digestive tract" and find similarities and differences among them.
Step3 Function of digestive fluids (saliva)
Consider what can be learned from the fact that there had been no iodine solution reaction of starch until then by saliva.
Summarize how starch was digested into something else from various perspectives.
Step4 Various digestive fluids
In addition to starch, food contains proteins and fats. Find out where and how these are digested.
Comment from the teacher
In each class period, I considered and used the thinking tools to be used in that period in order to draw out the children's ideas more fully. Shared Notes were also used so that students could freely share their ideas and opinions. Above all, I am proud of the fact that the children were able to enjoy the pleasure of thinking.
