Workshops for Beginners

This workshop is designed for those who are new to LoiLoNote School.

You will be guided through the essential operation of LoiLoNote.

Training Flow

1. Prepare for the workshop.

2. Sign in to LoiLoNote School.

3. Interact with students through Cards.

4. Compile various materials.

5. Extended learning.

1. Preparation for the workshop

Please prepare your electronic devices and download the LoiLoNote School software before the workshop starts.

① Prepare your electronic devices

Please prepare a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone connected to the internet.

※Not available for Nintendo Switch and other game consoles.

② Download the LoiLoNote School Software

For iPad and iPhone users

Users of Chromebooks, macOS, Windows, Android

1. Please download the Google Chrome web browser.

2. Sign in to LoiLoNote School

① Enter School ID, User ID, Password and sign in

Please enter the School ID, User ID, and Password issued to each user by the organiser.

Click on "Sign In" when you have finished entering.

② Select a Subject

Select the subject you want to use for today's lesson.

Click on 'Create New Note' and click 'Use'.

Accessing this screen means you have joined the subject.

3. Interaction with students through Cards

① Send out questions

Teachers can hand out questions to students.

Send the question with the Send button and it will be automatically sent to the student's desktop.

If the Card does not appear automatically on the desktop, it can be retrieved from 'Timeline' (Click on the 'Send' button). (roca) Showing an image as it arrives could be helpful here.

② Answer questions

1. Click on the question Card.

2. Select the Edit function button at the top and answer the question by handwriting or typing.

3. Click on the arrow icon in the top left corner to return to the desktop when you have finished.

③ Submit your answer to the question

1. Drag the completed Card to the blue 'Submit' icon at the bottom left and drop it to complete the submission (as shown on the left).

2. Select the appropriate submission box (as shown on the right).

④ View the answers submitted

1. Click on the blue 'Submit' icon at the bottom left.

2. Click on the Submission task to view the answers. (roca) An image showing answer page would be more helpful as second image.

3. Click "Share Answers" on the teacher's device and students shall see the class's answers on their devices.

4. Click on the 'Compare' button on the top right and select the responses you wish to compare. (roca) In second image, the "you like to compare with" is unnecessary.

⑤ Send feedback immediately after correcting the answers given by students

1. Select a student's response and click on the pencil icon above to write on and correct it.

2. Click on the 'Send Back' button at the top right to send the corrected Card back to the student.

⑥ Take photos of your notes and submit them

1. Adjust the position of the photo, so that it is as close to the subject as possible.

2. Press "Use" at the bottom right after taking a picture and it will become a Card.

3. Use the handwriting function to draw or write on the photo.

4. Use your fingers to activate the zoom function to enlarge the photo and draw or write minor details.

⑦ Exchange of information between students (Cards)

1. Drag a Card to the 'Send' icon at the bottom left.

2. Click on 'Members' and select the person to which you are sending.

3. Click 'Send' on the top right.

⑧ Clicking on the 'Send' icon will bring up a timeline where the teacher can view all the students' history and content in the class

1. Click on the 'Send' icon.

2. Students can see what they are sending out and what others are sending in.

3. Teachers can see who has sent data and when.

4. Compiling various materials

Organize the Cards on your desk, compile, and submit them or choose to present them.

Linked Cards / Disconnected Cards

Pull the yellow arrow in the top right corner of a Card with your finger and move it to another Card, then release your finger to link the two Cards.

Tap the Card to enlarge it. Slide your fingers left and right to reveal the Cards in sequence.

Place your finger on the yellow line and tap it once to disconnect the Cards.

Organizing Cards

Press the "➖" in front of the first card to group the Cards and move them freely.

To expand the Card, press ➕.

Press and hold for a while on the first Card to reveal the 'Arrange' option, which will equally space Cards when pressed.

② Add a Card to a Card

Add a Card / Move out a Card

Drag a card directly onto another card to overlap it and it will be added within the Card.

Press and hold the Card (long press) to the outside and drag to move a Card out.

Create new Cards

To add a new Card, click on the "➕" at the top left of the editing screen.

Select the desired Card format (left) and select the new location (right).

Editing Cards

Long press on a Card and a white dot will appear around it. Move the white dot to edit the size and shape of the Card.

Images, videos, or web Cards can be edited to show only the part of the Card you want to show.

You can listen to an audio file while reading along and recording.

You can adjust the speed of the audio file.

You can re-record.

Video recording

Recording videos.

Editing videos.

PDF

Annotate or answer by handwriting on PDF files.

Staple a blank Card to the answer field for your answer.

Web Card

The Web Card can also be used as a regular Card.

Click on the magnifying glass icon to be linked to the original web page.

Thinking Tools

Arrange Cards logically on Thinking Tools to develop thinking skills.

Press the '+' at the top left of the Thinking Tools chart to add a new Card to the base chart.

You can switch between different Thinking Tools at any time.

Click on "..." at the top right of the screen and select "Switch Mind Map."

Tests/Questionnaires

Tests and Questionnaires can be scored automatically.

Results can be confirmed instantly.

Statistics can be exported.

Results can be shared with students.

Students can also create Tests and Questionnaires.
