Born in Japan. Atsushi majored Material and Science Engineering at Waseda University in Japan.While he was in school, he analyzed and studied characteristics of metal materials with a computer. He decided to carry out a tangible projects and came to United States to study Architecture at the University of Utah. He participated in DesignBUild BLUFF program while he was in school, enjoyed learning by actually use his hands, and became a staff member of DesignBuild BLUFF after graduation. As an employee of the University of Utah, he runs DesignBuildBLUFF and improves the program from a village with a population of 200. He has done many residential projects with students by sharing the beauty of local natural sand and cray materials as the finishes of interior and exterior elements of the architectures.
2008年 NPO DesignBuildBLUFFでインストラクター担当。
2009年 Double Dot Design llc 設立。
2012年 アメリカ ユタ大学建築学部でインストラクター担当。
2019年 アメリカ ユタ大学建築学部で非常勤教授。
