You don't have to monetize your joy
Doing something for the sake of doing something is sometimes all you really need to do. The pressure to turn our hobbies into side-hustles has left a lot of us anxious and guilty. In an article written by Molly Conway, she says, "You don't have to monetize your joy." That is one of the best ways to think about a hobby, but she goes on to offer even more advice. "It's okay to love a hobby the same way you'd love a pet; for its ability to enrich your life without any expectation that it will help you pay your rent." Reference
