“the use of the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.” (New Oxford American Dictionary)

Too narrow?

How about creativity in business environment / everyday life

Definition 1:

Is the nature creative?

Definition 2:

Generating  “novel solutions that are qualitatively better than previous solutions” (Gero and Kazakov 1996) 

Is Picasso qualitatively better than da Vinci?

Definition 3:

Less knowledge about existing relationships between the requirements and the forms to satisfy those requirements. (Rosenman 1997)

To satisfy requirements with less knowledge, you need to be more creative.
