That line became the heart of my implementation. It validated something I’d already begun to sense: that ideas don’t evolve linearly. They surface, recur, and reconfigure across time. Folgezettel numbering allows me to honor that rhythm. Each entry — whether a journal reflection, a quote, or a note — is added to the chain as it develops. I don’t wait for the “right” moment or the “next” slot. I code the idea to the relationship it belongs to, regardless of date or format.
