√(x^2+A)の積分
$ \int \frac{dx}{\sqrt{x^2+A}}\cdots(1)
$ \boxed{\sqrt{x^2+A}=t-x \cdots(2) と置く}
(2)の両辺を2乗して$ x^2+A=t^2-2tx+x^2 $ \Longrightarrow $ A=t^2-2tx $ \Longrightarrow $ \frac{A}{2t}=\frac{t}{2}-x $ \Longrightarrow $ x=\frac{t}{2}-\frac{A}{2t}\cdots(3)
(2), (3)より$ \sqrt{x^2+A}=t-x $ =t-\left(\frac{t}{2}-\frac{A}{2t}\right) $ =\frac{t}{2}+\frac{A}{2t} $ =\frac{t^2+A}{2t} \cdots(4)
(3)の両辺を$ x で微分して$ \frac{dx}{dt}=\left(\frac{1}{2t}\right)' - \left(\frac{A}{2t}\right)' $ =\frac{1}{2}+\frac{A}{2t^2} $ =\frac{t^2+A}{2t^2} $ \Longrightarrow $ dx=\frac{t^2+A}{2t^2}dt\cdots(5)
これより$ \int \frac{\overbrace{dx}^{(5)を代入}}{\underbrace{\sqrt{x^2+A}}_{(4)を代入}} $ =\int \underbrace{\frac{2t}{t^2+A}}_{(4)の逆数} \, \underbrace{\frac{t^2+A}{2t^2}dt}_{(5)} $ =\int\frac{dt}{t} $ =\ln|t|+C
(2)より$ t=x+\sqrt{x^2+A}\cdots(5)
これを代入して$ \boxed{\int\frac{dx}{\sqrt{x^2+A}} = \ln|x+\sqrt{x^2+A}|+C}
注記
$ y = \ln \big| x + \sqrt{x^2+A} \big| $ \Longrightarrow $ e^y = x+\sqrt{x^2+A} $ \Longrightarrow $ e^y - x = \sqrt{x^2+A} $ \Longrightarrow $ (e^y)^2 - 2 x e^y + x^2 = x^2 + A $ \Longrightarrow $ 2 x e^y = (e^y)^2 - A $ \Longrightarrow $ 2x = e^y - \frac{A}{ e^y} $ \Longrightarrow $ x = \frac12 \Big( e^y - \frac{A}{e^y} \Big) なので$ A = 1 ならば$ x = \sinh y ,$ A = -1 ならば$ x = \cosh y .
