almost all 複数形と等しい

【most of the 複数形】

most ofのof の中はthe + 複数形にしなければならない。

ただし、most of usやmost of themの場合は除く。

theが付いているので〈特定の集団〉を支持する。

加えて、特定の集団がどこなのかをその後に示す必要がある。

よって、most of〜の場合は、正確には「most of the 複数形 in 集団名」となる。

almost all of the 複数形 in 集団とほぼ等しい。ofを省略することもある。
