● 当日の活動内容/Activities of the Day
The activities started early in the morning after the arrival of the students and instructors. All the teams assembled together for an opening prayer, as suggested by one of the students. She meant it be the norm to ask God to guide us through the practice session. The suggestion was welcomed by all the other students and adopted into the daily schedule.

The dance team assembled under the shed on the main terrace to commence their practice under the guidance of their instructor, Java, who was excited for the day as he had new choreographies for the team. The team started by jogging their memory of what they had been taught the previous week.

As the morning was cold, the playgroup and the recitals team started their morning practice in their respective classrooms. The recitals team was in their usual class, while the little ones were in the last class. The recital team members are putting in efforts to increase their number by inviting their friends from school and neighborhood.

On this day, we had some new students visiting the activity to join us henceforth. The number of playgroup kids has stagnated for some time, as we have not had any elder siblings joining the group who usually tag along with their young siblings. It is unusual for the little kids to express interest and join the activity out of their volution.
The morning session went well, with each group focusing on its objectives. Teacher Janet had an interactive session with the babies, engaging them in singing and other games. If she gets the resources she seeks, we believe she will transform the little kids' interaction through the games she can play with them, including the props and toys. https://scrapbox.io/files/66f31ea3b23d3c001c19cc20.jpg
The dance team is now more disciplined and focused than ever before the shelter installation. They even suggested hosting other dance teams in the shelter for a competition to measure their dance skills against others and get a chance to network and make friends from different dance groups.
The morning practice session was halted at 1000hrs so the kids could take porridge. We must commend the cook for her efforts almost every week to ensure the kids have a nourishing porridge and delicious lunch during their midday and afternoon breaks during their half and full days, respectively.

After the porridge, the kids returned to practice; the second session was even better with warmer weather after the sun shone for a while. The playing group also came out in the field beside the shelter as teacher Janet watched and supervised them to engage in recreational, playful games.

The second practice came to an end at lunchtime to allow the kids to indulge in rice, beans, and cabbage. The meal was tasty and adequate for all the attending students and instructors. Everyone had enough to eat to their fill before having a brief meeting with the entire team to brainstorm on the progress of the activities and later dismissed them for home.

● 今後の望ましい対応/Recommendation
The playgroup team requests toys, books, and props to facilitate their playtime and kill the monotony of the same games every Saturday, given the limited play items available at HPC. We are actively seeking help from well-wishers to achieve this.
