The newly constructed roof continues to provide a shed for the dance team to practice in a comfortable environment. Contrary to our fear, the community has perceived it as a positive addition that benefits their children; hence, they have created awareness and encouraged people to protect it. We have not recorded any cases of vandalism or a trial of the same.

That is a positive step in the right direction, indicating that the people have appreciated the kind gesture from our Japanese and Kenyan friends to donate the roof. The build quality is also impressive and of high quality because, to date, everything is intact. In addition to providing a shed for the students, we have confidence in their safety, as the structure is sturdy. We hope it maintains its strength through the rainy and windy seasons.
The activity started early in the morning, considering it was a half day. This was the second consecutive half day to balance out the two full days we had during the construction time. The kids' time discipline is still top-notch, as almost all arrive on time to commence the activities early enough.

The dance team proudly took their place on the terrace under the shade to begin their regular weekly practice. Unfortunately, the instructor, mentor Java, was absent as he had traveled to attend a family function in the upcountry. Nonetheless, the practice continued even in his absence as the kids were highly organized and selected a representative who guided the practice in the instructor's absence.

On this Saturday, the dance team did not learn any new moves but spent the entire day going through what they had learned and perfecting it. The kids divided themselves into groups consisting of the recently joined members who weren't familiar with all the choreographies and the veterans who had been there for some time and knew most of them.
One member from each of the two groups paired up with another from the other group and showed them the dancing steps to most of the choreographies taught some time back. The recently joined kids could take lessons from the ones who know the choreographies and improve their dancing skills. They did this for the better part of the morning. https://scrapbox.io/files/66ec4c0245bc16001c4f12df.jpg
The recitals team continues to learn new poems and songs from their new teacher, whom they are now well acquainted with and are free to consult whenever they don't understand a concept. The new teacher is well versed with recitals, but we have since advised her to channel the same energy and focus on rap so that the rap artists don't feel out.
Teacher Janet continues to identify and develop the different talents of the little kids so they can have a smooth transition into one of the talent development groups when they are of age. The morning session went well until the porridge break when everyone had a cup of the delicious porridge to their satisfaction.

After that, the kids had a ten-minute break before embarking on the second practice session, which continued until lunchtime. Given that it was a half day, we did not have lunch; instead, we briefly met with the kids and dismissed them for home.
● 今後の望ましい対応/Recommendation
The kids' attendance keeps fluctuating; sometimes, they hit a record of 80% attendance, while other times, attendance is as low as 50%. We are brainstorming and in consultation with the kids to identify the cause of this fluctuation in attendance and remedy it. We are still onboarding new students within the required age group.
