This was the first Saturday to use the shed after its completion in the previous week. The kids were excited to practice from the shed, knowing that high solar insolation was now a thing of the past and that they were well protected from the sunshine and rain. Even the recitals team, which usually practices in the classroom, wanted to practice from outside only because the songs played by the speaker for the dance team distracted them.

The shed has for sure enhanced the aesthetic value of HPC. Development of such magnitude will improve the quality of the Saturday practice and undoubtedly increase enrollment into the program as most kids from around the community are fascinated by it and always want to play inside the shed. One week later, the shed is still new and in mint condition. We haven't heard any complaints or challenges like vandalism or theft. We hope it stays that way.

After two consecutive full days when Saori and her team were around, we reverted to our usual alternating system of full and half days; hence, this Saturday was a half day of activity. The kids' attendance was average, and their arrival was timely, as usual. The morning session was busy, with the instructors reviewing the exhibition performance and correcting some performance errors to ensure an excellent and synchronized performance.

The dance team was glad to have a shed over their roof as they practiced. One could see the joy in their faces while dancing the morning away. The instructor was also very thankful for the shed because it allowed them to practice constantly until the afternoon without being affected by the sun.

The morning session proceeded until 1100hrs, when the kids took a break to partake in porridge. Our resident cook prepared the porridge, ensuring the kids are nourished and energized for the day. Everyone took a cupful to their fill and had ten minutes to relax before resuming practice.

The second session was unlike the previous Saturday activity. Usually, the dance team would get fatigued from practicing under the sun, and sometimes, the instructor had to stop earlier than usual when the sun was too hot to prevent the kids from suffering heat stroke. But, this Saturday, the dance team had a continuous second session practice until 1400hrs with minimal water breaks in between. The kids were energized throughout the session, and no heat complaints were recorded, which was the norm previously.https://scrapbox.io/files/66ec32adef8748001cde9fba.jpg
● 今後の望ましい対応/Recommendation
We hope the HPC and Mukuru community will take and protect the shelter to ensure its longevity. As it is a community symbol for inclusivity, we also urge the administration of HPC to allow other kids from the neighboring institutions and homes to put the place into constructive use. That will give the community a sense of responsibility for the shed, encouraging its proper utilization and maintenance.
