1. 子どもたちと一緒にその日の予定された活動を実施する/Carrying out the day’s planned activities with children.

●　当日の活動内容/Activities of the Day

9:00〜11:00：

Arrival of students, teachers, and the coordinators.

Upon arrival Msafii engaged all pupils in a warm up session to jog up their minds and bodies. He was assisted by Solomon and Javan.

The dance group practiced their normal routines with Msafii in the outside field while the Drama group assembled with Javan to rehearse their script in the classroom.

The little children were taken through playing session led by Joseph.

11:00〜12:00：

We had porridge, courtesy of Teresia Kalekye, the cook.

12:00〜14:30：

上級生はムサフィによるダンスのセッションに参加し、新しい動きを習った。下級生は、ジョセフとソロモンが監督する中で、暗唱の練習をしたり、物語を読み上げたりした。

Upper-class students had a dancing session, learning new moves, which Stephen Msafii conducted.

The lower class practiced recitals and told stories under the supervision of Solomon and Joseph.

14:30〜15:10：

昼食として、ご飯と緑豆を食べた。テレシアが用意してくれた。十分な量が用意され、味もおいしかった！

We had rice and green grams for lunch. Teresa Mbula prepared it. It was enough finger-licking.

15:10〜16:15：

学校にいる全員が外に出て、ストレッチしたり、少し日なたぼっこしたりした。下級生は、そのままお昼寝に向かった。その他の子どもたちは遊び回ったり、朝の練習で習ったことを見せ合ったりしていた。生徒との短いミーティングの後、子どもたちは解散した。

The whole school went out to stretch and bask a little. The younger ones proceeded for a siesta. Older kids played around and showcased what they had learnt the whole morning.

We had a brief meeting with the students and dismissed them.

●　今後の望ましい対応/Recommendation

今回は子ども向け活動プログラムの第29回目で、活動はうまく行った。

This was the twenty-ninth day of the children’s activities program. It was a success.

A. 子ども1人あたりの毎週の利用料/Weekly Fee per Child

ミーティングをした後でも、毎週子どもに10シリング持たせてくれない保護者がいて、その課題に直面している。水や焚き木の購入に使われるはずの資金が不足することで、運営に使える予算が少なくなり、制約を受けている。コーディネーター同士がミーティングを行い、この課題に対する長期的な解決策を話し合う予定である。

We are still facing the challenge of parents not sending in their children with the weekly fee of Kshs. 10, even after having a meeting. Lack of this money strains the tight budget we operate under, as it is supposed to cater for water and firewood.

We plan on having a coordinators’ meeting to sort out this issue permanently.
