Augment Your Experience with Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality

College of Image Arts and Sciences in Ritsumeikan University was established in 2007 at Kyoto where history of cinema in Japan began. The goal of the college is to cultivate producers of image culture who possess creative skill and sense to contribute to next-generation image arts and culture. Research and education area in the college covers cinema, video game and state-of-the-art experiential media technologies such as Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality.

Ohshima Lab, which is directed by Prof. Toshikazu OHSHIMA, focuses on developing innovative interactive works by taking advantage of Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality, among the wide field of research and education in the college.

In addition to the educational use of mixed reality, we are also involved in medical and aerospace-related research.
