Hechin modeling a cloth mask
Very warm greetings from Manipur, India. My family and communities are doing well in this testing time. Yes, there is so much struggle and suffering due to a complete shutdown without any preparedness. The lockdown is severely affecting our daily living. Daily wage earners, whose livelihoods depend on daily income, are severely affected. A scarcity of food items and an increase in the price of essential commodities is directly affecting the poor and marginalized. This really makes me feel the importance and value of food and self-sufficiency like I've never felt before.

Making masks at CWG
At the Center for Women and Girls (my organization) we took an initiative of making homemade cloth masks to give out to the general public, in order to ensure that surgical masks are reserved for health care providers and others on the frontline.

Masks for the community
My prayers are for ARI family members around the world and particularly for this year's trainees, staff, and all the supporters.
We shall overcome some day!
