The Gulf War is the war fought in 1991 by a multinational force led by the United States against Iraq, which had invaded Kuwait. This war is also known as the Nintendo War. It was so named because in this war, the most advanced computers of the time were installed in the weapons, and the targets were attacked and hit accurately through the screens, just like in a video game. In former wars, killing people was a very real act, as soldiers actually faced each other and fought and killed each other. However, modern technology has made it possible to kill people as if it were a game, which may have reduced the sense of guilt about killing people.
