Experiencing romantic breakup is painful. But according to a study, we recover from it sooner than expected. Researchers first asked college students with lovers to predict how they would feel after a breakup. Most of them thought the breakup would be very painful. Then the researchers patiently waited for them to actually break up and examined how they actually felt.The results showed that the heartbreak was not as shocking as the students had expected, and the feelings of sadness disappeared sooner than they had expected.
