Bluesky の名前の由来

my mom named her kid (me) “蓝天” which means bluesky in chinese, so i called myself “jay” to become a bird instead, and then some birdapp company named their project “bluesky” and i ended up running it.

Me going on about things the twitter team probably didn’t care about in my cover letter: “I’m guessing that the name Blue Sky was picked for this project because Twitter is symbolized by a bird, and decentralization would release it into the expanses of the open web.”
