Uniswap
Uniswap is one of the decentralized exchanges (DEX) that allows for liquidity provision. Its strength lies in the ability to provide liquidity, with a total value locked (TVL) of around 2 billion. The Bank of Japan mentions Uniswap in their publication titled "Decentralized Finance in Cryptocurrencies - The Emergence of Autonomous Financial Services and the Search for Governance". Uniswap operates on a model where there is no order book, and tokens are exchanged by pooling them together. Anyone can contribute tokens to the pool and provide liquidity. This is known as the Constant Product Market Maker Model.
