Right of revolution

The concept of Right to Resist and Right to Rebellion justifies and theorizes the situation where the Governance Structure (Government) loses the trust of the people and is overthrown.

As a premise, Natural rights exist, but if each individual is allowed to harm others due to conflicting interests, it would lead to a Struggle of all against all. Therefore, mechanisms are necessary to prevent this, which is achieved through the Nation and Government based on a social contract.

However, if the government itself goes against this, resistance is also justified. This theory is known as the Revolutionary Right. According to this definition, if the Nation (Government) violates Individual Rights (Right of Properties), the citizens are justified in resisting.

John Locke is one of the main thinkers associated with this concept.
