Ideology
Ideology is often described as a "system of ideas" according to Wikipedia, but I personally find it simpler to think of it as something closer to Thought or Faction. I think this interpretation is also quite accurate. I think it's good to have an image of "____ism" when thinking about ideologies. For example:
- Machiavellianism: The idea that those who should be killed should be killed, and those who should be spared should be spared. - Capitalism: It is believed that if individuals pursue their own interests, everything will fall into place. - Liberalism: It may seem harsh, but it's up to the individual to live or die based on their own choices. - Liberal: The value of saving lives is paramount, even if it means sacrificing things like the economy. - Socialism: The goal is to minimize the number of people who live and die, while the state selects and categorizes them. These are just some examples, but they give you an idea of how different ideologies can be understood.
