AGI
AGI, also known as Strong AI, is often associated with the concept of the Singularity. According to a tweet by @bioshok3 , even the Nikkei is starting to predict a futuristic scenario around the year 2030. It is predicted that by 2026, AI will reach the computational capacity of a human, and weak general systems will be available around 2028 according to Metaculus predictions. Furthermore, there are various robotics applications such as Saycan, VIMA, PerAct, InstructRL, Whirl, and VIP that allow for natural language instructions to be given to AI, enabling learning through human actions. This future seems highly likely. In the book From Descartes to Bayes, it is discussed that when there is an entity with intelligence surpassing that of humanity, humans are unable to fully understand all of its actions. For example, in games like chess or Go, it is often impossible to predict the next move of AI. In such cases, humans try to explain the reasons behind the actions afterwards, but it is uncertain whether these explanations are correct or not.
