The premise of "humans adding new information to the world" has been the basis for capitalism, where individuals monetize their contributions. However, in order to create LLM, a system where one company crawls and accesses all knowledge (creations) from it, there is currently no mechanism in place to evaluate Data labor (Labor of Data) in a reversible manner. public.icon As we enter the era of Post GPT, it seems like the era of Labor of Data has arrived. Until now, capitalism has relied on the idea that "humans do something new, and most people cannot explore it, so it becomes commercialized and leads to business transactions." However, with the development of crawlers that can collect and extract information using natural language processing (LLM), there is a lack of mechanisms to reversibly evaluate the labor that generates data. If LLM operators do not establish a system to properly evaluate individuals who are doing something new, there is a possibility that they will run out of learning sources, and the tragedy of the commons may not occur in capitalism. However, if the timeline is disrupted, there is a potential for everything to collapse. OpenAI has created a mechanism to reversibly evaluate the source training data and provide rewards based on it, which directly contributes to their continued success. If they don't do this, there will be no incentive for inventors to publicly disclose new information, and they will perish. This is a good example of understanding the concept of the noblesse oblige of the public. The term "DeSci" vaguely comes to mind. Can DeSci retrospectively evaluate basic research?
